About this event
Anna Mary Robertson "Grandma" Moses spent decades working in rural New York and Virginia, painting and embroidering in whatever hours she could find — and she was eighty when her first solo exhibition made her a household name. Join a museum guide for an hour-long walk through Grandma Moses: A Good Day's Work, and look closely at the paintings, embroideries, and ephemera that turned a self-taught artist into one of the most recognizable figures in postwar American art. Expect good conversation, a few surprises, and a fresh look at an artist you may think you already know. Free with exhibition tickets. Just meet your guide in the first gallery.
