  • Artemis is an upcoming all-ages music venue and art space set to open soon at 509 W. Spring Street in Fayetteville. Co-owners Alex Thaley and Bo Counts plan a venue for intimate performances and community gatherings featuring non-alcoholic drinks.  Fayetteville Flyer

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Walton Family Foundation awarded a three-year grant of $525,361 to the UCA Center for Community & Economic Development to support training and technical assistance for community leaders in Northwest Arkansas, and eligible applicants can apply by Feb. 13.  NWA Business Journal

  • Billy Richmond III played a key role for Arkansas last Wednesday night, scoring 13 points & six rebounds to help the Razorbacks snap a three-game losing streak to Ole Miss. Coach Calipari praised his defensive work as the team built on this momentum.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Bryant Williams, a 6-7 + 335-pound redshirt junior transfer from Louisiana, committed to Arkansas football on Thursday during his official visit. He played 36 games for the Ragin' Cajuns with 11 starts last season and was rated highly by On3.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Maryland transfer cornerback Braydon Lee signed with Arkansas football on Thursday during his official visit in Fayetteville — he recorded 18 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups as a redshirt freshman, and his teammate La'khi Roland also signed.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas football added former Baylor linebacker Phoenix Jackson as a transfer on Thursday. The 6-0, 223-pound player recorded 11 tackles and 1 quarterback hurry at Baylor before a knee injury and retains one year of eligibility after three seasons at Fresno State.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas football signed Georgia State transfer defensive back Tyler Scott on Thursday in Fayetteville. The 6-1 & 195-pound athlete played six games at Auburn and now has two years of eligibility as he prepares for the upcoming season.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Maryland transfer cornerback La'khi Roland signed with Arkansas football after visiting on Sunday and Monday, following a season at Maryland with 21 tackles and 3 interceptions, including a 100‐yard interception return.   • New Mexico State transfer wide receiver Donovan Faupel committed to the Razorbacks on Thursday after a Fayetteville visit that changed his view on the Natural State.   • Arkansas football signed 3-star offensive lineman Carey Clayton from Southlake Carroll High School on Thursday as the 18th recruit for the 2026 class; rated No. 11 nationally at center, he chose the Razorbacks over several offers while schools sign high school players Jan. 2-16 for spring enrollment.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
