  • The Black-Owned Business Expo is set for Saturday, Feb. 21 at Fayetteville Town Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organized by local entrepreneurs Jasmine Hudson, J’Aaron Merchant, and Sierra Polk, the event will feature 60 vendors and a new Kidpreneur Track that promotes local Black-owned businesses.  Fayetteville Flyer

EDUCATION NEWS

  • University of Arkansas officials announced that starting in January, all new campus keys must be requested online through TeamDynamix. Facilities Management and IT Services designed the new process to improve key tracking and campus safety (questions to Michael Hoffman).  University of Arkansas
  • The McMillon Innovation Studio held its fall 2025 Demo Day on Dec. 3 at the Institute for Integrative & Innovative Research where students pitched projects including a mobile health van to improve community wellness.   • Springdale-based Ozark Regional Transit reported 345,370 riders in 2025, a 9.63% increase, with growth credited to more transit options near the Walmart Home Office — the agency also added fixed-route rides on Saturdays in Fayetteville.  NWA Business Journal
