ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Monday night, an LSU team bus slid off an icy road between Rocky and Potter in Polk County as the driver, returning from Fayetteville to Baton Rouge, remained uninjured when his bus landed in a ditch and police assisted with removal amid a winter storm. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ On Monday, the Advertising and Promotion Commission approved a five-year deal providing $30,000 a year + $150,000 total funding for Pride Week events, including a parade held in summer that has run every year since 2004. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Send It South festival will take place Feb. 27-28, 2026 at the Momentary in Fayetteville, hosting winter bike rides, bike olympics, live indie music, and chef-driven cuisine amid Ozark foothills trails — an event designed for biking enthusiasts and families. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Chicago-based rock band Wilco will perform at The Momentary in Bentonville on Saturday, May 2 as part of their An Evening with Wilco tour — presale tickets for members start Thursday at 10 a.m. and public sales follow Friday, with prices from $37 for students to $65 for general admission. - ➤ Arkansas Teacher Corps and U of A’s College of Education and Health Professions received a three-year, $5.1 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation to train 114 teaching fellows to relieve teacher shortages in high-need communities. - ➤ Over 170 volunteers from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science brought Hour of Code activities to local elementary students at Butterfield Trail, Happy Hollow and Vandergriff elementaries, introducing basic coding.
