- ➤ The city is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Historic Preservation Awards — a program honoring projects, organizations and individuals who preserve local heritage. Nominations and supporting materials are due by 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Fayetteville will host superstar Post Malone & Grammy-winning Jelly Roll on Saturday, July 11 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Tickets go on sale Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. while artist presales begin Feb. 6 and Carter Faith will open the show. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ University HR will launch performance reviews in Workday for staff, with managers to complete assessments by March 31. Supervisors join Zoom training on Feb. 11 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 19 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and Feb. 23 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. — contact HR for details. University of Arkansas
- ➤ The Speech and Debate Society at UA earned a record 58 awards at the Southern Forensics Championship Tournament, held virtually last weekend because of a winter storm. The team will compete this weekend at Union University’s Bulldog Bowl before heading to the Mardi Gras Classic. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Faculty and staff can nominate an outstanding U of A team at the Fayetteville campus—nominations run from Monday, Feb. 2 until 11:59 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27—and the winning team will receive a cash award to honor excellence during 2025. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Tomorrow, Feb. 4 at 12:55 p.m., Ryan Allen, an assistant professor at UAMS, will present his research on a drug-responsive mouse model of atherosclerosis + its link to macrophage dysfunction in CHEM 0144; the seminar is also accessible via Zoom. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Former executive director Susan Patton receives the Dean's Circle of Care Award for her dedication to nursing education and will be honored at a college banquet on March 6 plus her $150,000 donation established a Nursing Science Day Endowment that supports the annual forum on April 30. - ➤ Fayetteville is gathering feedback on a proposed animal shelter at two public sessions this week. One session is today from noon to 2 p.m. and the other is Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Animal Services facility on S. Armstrong Ave. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ After Saturday's 85-77 loss to Kentucky, Arkansas men's basketball coach John Calipari gave his players two days off—expecting starters Knox and Pringle to show stronger performances ahead of upcoming SEC games later this week. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
