EDUCATION NEWS

  • Industrial engineering faculty and students at the U of A earned several awards at the 2026 Reliability and Maintainability Symposium in January (including professor Haitao Liao and graduate student Farid Hashemian), underscoring the department’s strong research record.  University of Arkansas
  • U of A will host an Off-Campus Housing Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11 at the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge.   • Ruby-throated hummingbirds will begin their migration in March from the Gulf Coast and head north as the weather warms — Fayetteville birdwatchers may soon see them near feeders and blooming flowers early in the morning or late in the afternoon.  5 News
  • Fayetteville nonprofit Northwest Arkansas Land Trust renewed its national accreditation and confirmed its role by protecting special sites like Flint Creek Headwaters Preserve and Kessler Mountain.
