  • Experience Fayetteville and the Downtown Fayetteville Coalition announced three upcoming events in the Upper Ramble — the Arts Fair on April 19 from noon to 6, American 250th Celebration on July 3 from 6 to 10, and Hogs and Dogs on Sept. 18 from 6 to 10.  NWA Business Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Fayetteville parents, teachers and staff met Thursday to welcome Tacuma Williams, who will guide John L Colbert Middle School as it becomes a junior high. He (a retired Army captain) will begin on July 1 and spend a year preparing before it opens for grades 7 and 8 in 2027–28.  4029 News

  • Cindy Watson, a speech-language pathologist for over 30 years, was selected as ASHA State Ambassador for Arkansas — representing local professionals in quarterly virtual meetings to advocate for the field with legislators.  University of Arkansas

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fayetteville High School head football coach Casey Dick resigned on Thursday, March 5 to take a new role as Athletic Coordinator and coach at Rockwall-Heath High in Rockwall, Texas. The school said it is now looking for a new head coach to build a culture of excellence.  5 News
  • Due to a 90% chance of rain, the first pitch for today's game between ninth-ranked Arkansas and Stetson is moved from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. The series continues with games scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m., and Monday at noon.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas track head coach Doug Case added former All-American Brandon Battle as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Razorbacks.
