- ➤ Fayetteville parents, teachers and staff met Thursday to welcome Tacuma Williams, who will guide John L Colbert Middle School as it becomes a junior high. He (a retired Army captain) will begin on July 1 and spend a year preparing before it opens for grades 7 and 8 in 2027–28. 4029 News

- ➤ Fayetteville High School head football coach Casey Dick resigned on Thursday, March 5 to take a new role as Athletic Coordinator and coach at Rockwall-Heath High in Rockwall, Texas. The school said it is now looking for a new head coach to build a culture of excellence. 5 News
