  • Fayetteville is launching Sundays on the Square to replace its longtime First Thursday festival and help boost downtown businesses. The new event debuts March 30th from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature live music, food trucks, art vendors and a community bike ride—designed to create a relaxed, all-day experience.  5 News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Arkansas’ unemployment rate for February held steady at 3.6%—lower than the national rate of 4.1%. The state’s labor force grew for the 37th month in a row, showing a strong job market.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On March 24th, Congressman Steve Womack reintroduced the Tipped Employee Protection Act to simplify wage rules by reversing the dual worker concept that split tasks into those earning tips and those paid at the minimum wage. The bill aims to reduce extra paperwork for small business operators and better define pay for tipped workers.  5 News
