- ➤ The Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology will host Dr. Ben Thrash for an in-person and virtual seminar on changes in cotton insect management at the Agriculture Building, room 115 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today; a social period with light snacks begins at 3:20 p.m. University of Arkansas
- ➤ A student-led food pantry at UA added a new walk-in freezer + expanded locker system to accept larger frozen donations and double available orders outside regular hours. - ➤ Mayor Molly Rawn delivered her State of the City address at the March 18 Council meeting and outlined plans to boost housing, shorten project approval times, launch a downtown master plan, upgrade College Avenue, and propose a bond for water and sewer improvements. She added digital upgrades, school partnerships, youth engagement and new parks projects will drive smarter growth — efforts that promise a more efficient local government — and help shape future progress.
