BUSINESS NEWS

  • Butterfield Trail Village will use a $30 million bond to fund a 40,000 sqft expansion including a 38-unit assisted living facility, upgraded common space, and seven independent living apartments. Groundbreaking is set for 10 a.m. April 6 at 2073 E. Fargo Road, with residents expected to move in fall 2027.  NWA Business Journal
  • Springdale-based 7 Brew said Tuesday it will open its first on-campus walk-thru drink stand at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville — the new stand will serve its popular beverages to students and visitors soon.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Becky Luther, known as Queenie Be, built groups for Fayetteville small business owners and singles since late 2024, now serving over 17,800 members and hosting up to seven events a week.   • Grammy-winning artist Kali Uchis is set to perform at Walmart AMP on Friday, May 29 with special guest acts Mariah the Scientist & Laila. Ticket presales start March 31, while general sales open April 2 with prices from $60.53 to $265.40.  Fayetteville Flyer

  • The Associated Student Government Senate at UA in Fayetteville passed a resolution on Tuesday opposing any tuition hike or new fee for athletics without a campus-wide vote, and UA leadership (Charles Robinson) said no extra costs would be imposed on students.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Three Arkansas women golfers including Maria Jose Marin, Sara Brentcheneff, and Reagan Zibilski will tee off Wednesday at Champions Retreat Golf Club as they compete in the Augusta National Women's Amateur event, with practice rounds at Augusta National on Friday and the final round on Saturday.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Arkansas jumped three spots to No. 6 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll released Tuesday after a series win over Florida with Dakota Kennedy’s walk-off home run and an 11–2 win at Central Arkansas.
