- ➤ A bill requiring public schools, libraries, and public buildings to display a specific version of the Ten Commandments is set for a House committee hearing today at 10 a.m.—it passed the Senate 27-4 with support from a controversial Christian leader and faces opposition by the ACLU and several religious groups who say the text fails to reflect diverse interpretations. - ➤ On Tuesday the City Council approved creating nine stormwater utility positions and authorized temporary general fund funding—fees starting in August will reimburse these costs for reducing flooding.
