- ➤ Fayetteville welcomes a busy weekend with its Farmers’ Market on the square from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and live music at Ozark Music Hall and Kingfish, comedy at Walton Arts Center and Six Twelve, Easter egg hunts on Dickson Street and Stonebreaker, and a Razorback softball series versus Auburn. - ➤ Fayetteville officials today announced the 30th annual summer concert series in Gulley Park. Concerts will run every Thursday from June 4 to July 9, occurring from 7 to 9 p.m. with regional acts, food trucks, & family friendly fun. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Fayetteville’s Fine Arts Center announces a grand reopening on April 16 with an exhibition in its renovated teaching gallery and a community reception (5-7 p.m.). A new digital collection on mid-century modernism and the center’s 75th anniversary is now available online from U of A Libraries and the School of Art. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Acclaimed author Margaret Atwood will speak at Fayetteville Town Center at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 as part of UA’s Distinguished Lecture Series (she will join a conversation on literature, power, and the future). - ➤ Lt. Col. Jeffrey Froude will deliver a chemistry seminar on Monday, April 6 from 3-4 p.m. in CHEM 144, with a reception to follow in CHEM 105 as part of the spring seminar series hosted by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Claretha Hughes, a U of A professor, won the 2025 R. Wayne Pace Book of the Year Award at the Feb. 2026 AHRD Conference for her book Women’s Career Development in Virtual Remote Work Environments. - ➤ On March 13, the ACIREMA simulation at the University of Arkansas' Union Ballroom let students experience the steps international students navigate to secure visas and passports—experiencing challenges that mimic real-life hurdles. - ➤ A long-term study at the Savoy Research Complex shows that pigs fed with natural compounds (oregano, rosemary, and sodium humate) improved growth performance and gut health compared to those given antibiotics. Researchers say the findings point to a promising natural alternative for swine producers in the region. University of Arkansas

- ➤ Fayetteville-based High Street Real Estate and Development announced on Thursday, April 2 that it received a 2026 Charter Award from Congress for the New Urbanism for The 1907 Block in downtown Rogers, a $12 million project redeveloping a former warehouse grocery into a coffee shop, restaurants and 56 apartments.
