GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Around 130 Arkansas National Guard members from the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade will deploy to southwest Asia for operations Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve. A sendoff ceremony with Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is set Monday at the Bentonville Armed Forces Reserve Center, with members reporting to Fort Bliss for processing.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • City leaders will vote Tuesday, April 7 on a plan to expand the Farmers Market along Mountain Street to allow alcohol sales & extended hours from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Vendors, including Caleb Hutcherson, say the move may boost sales and vendor participation.  5 News
