  • ESPN Arkansas is expanding its sports talk coverage by acquiring 93.7 FM from Baker Family Trust, and KISR will move to 93.1 FM to continue serving River Valley listeners + pending FCC approval, the deal is expected to close in early summer.  5 News

  • Rolling Stone Films and Documentary+ released a film on Good Friday — featuring an Arkansas preacher ministering to condemned inmates awaiting execution — that documents his ongoing efforts to offer hope through his ministry.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Washington County now sends emergency alerts to every resident with its new Regroup system as it prepares for severe storms this spring — Benton County held a tabletop exercise with officials and community groups; residents in both counties can sign up online to receive alerts.  4029 News

  • The Razorbacks will host their first outdoor track meet at John McDonnell Field today starting at 1 p.m. The Arkansas Spring Invitational will feature 20 teams from the region+ marking a fresh start for both men’s and women’s outdoor seasons.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Razorback co-defensive coordinator Deron Wilson is searching for 4D players to boost the revamped secondary after only one scholarship safety (Miguel Mitchell) returned from last season.
