ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A small plane—a 1979 Cessna T210N from South Delta Aviation—lost engine power and made an emergency landing at Drake Field Tuesday + it veered off the runway but all three on board exited safely as the fire department put out a small fire. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ The City of Fayetteville is accepting submissions for its first annual Arkansas Art for City Hall exhibition — open to artists with ties to Arkansas — in the public gallery at City Hall. Applications are accepted until May 16, the exhibition will run from June 27 to May 30, and selected artists will receive a $250 honorarium. City of Fayetteville

- ➤ This summer, four webinars will focus on root zone management in controlled-environment agriculture—covering topics from water treatment to nutrient solution formulation—and will be held at 1 p.m. EDT on June 9, June 16, July 21, and Aug. 7 for $20 each, with a discount if all sessions are registered. - ➤ Farmington High School is launching a program — Compass — where students meet with University of Arkansas peers to learn about college life. Senior Karlea Lopez said the program helps her reach her dream of being the first in her family to go to college. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ The U of A's educational leadership doctoral program was named one of the best online doctorate programs by The Princeton Review because it offers flexible classes, low cost, and modern tools during an intensive campus session. - ➤ Five Arkansas DMV offices – Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Monticello and Texarkana – will open on Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to issue only Real IDs, and applicants must bring proof of identity, a Social Security number and proof of residency to receive their IDs the same day. 4029 News
- ➤ Area transportation leaders updated the public on projects such as the Springdale Northern Bypass, Highway 112 widening and the XNA connector road during a Bentonville Area Chamber event on April 22—ARDOT noted that over $1.5 billion in highway work has been completed, is underway or will start soon in Benton County with key segments scheduled through 2027.
