- ➤ On Saturday, people visited the Fayetteville DMV to get their Real IDs before the May 7 deadline; five DMV offices statewide offered extra hours that accepted both appointments and walk-ins. One visitor said the process was quick—the longest wait was only for her picture. 4029 News
- ➤ The Fayetteville Public Library executive director said the recently adjourned legislative session raised concerns over new laws on books, bathrooms and bibles that might affect library services — further details on the impact are expected to emerge. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Starting May 7, every traveler at Northwest Arkansas National Airport must present a Real ID or an approved alternative—if they do not have one, TSA advises arriving two to four hours early to allow for identity verification. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is encouraging residents to visit a Revenue Office or schedule an appointment online to obtain the new Real ID quickly.
