- ➤ On Sunday, police in Springdale and Fayetteville arrested 18-year-olds Chris Arnold and Keegan Turner from Camden in connection with a homicide investigation—with Turner arrested at a Springdale home without incident and Arnold picked up later in Fayetteville—while Camden police have not released more details. 4029 News

- ➤ Smokehouse Players presents Pulitzer Prize-winning Doubt: A Parable from May 1 to 4 at Ozark Mountain Smokehouse at 1725 S. - ➤ EDM artist TOKiMONSTA will bring her Eternal Reverie tour to RØDE House in Fayetteville—her album, released March 7 and dedicated to her late friend Regina Biondo, comes after a delay due to her health challenges and time spent grieving. - ➤ Fayetteville schools will begin using CENTEGIX CrisisAlert Wearable Mobile Panic Buttons in fall 2025 to help teachers quickly alert police, principals or local groups & the system is funded with an Arkansas Safety Grant and a $195,000 donation from Safer Fayetteville. 5 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officials from ARDOT and the City of Fayetteville say a $100 million MLK Boulevard interchange project will start permanent traffic changes today at 8 a.m.—widening Highway 62 past Lowe's to create a continuous U-turn and ease stop-and-go traffic for about 45,000 daily drivers. The work began last August and is planned to finish in May 2028, so commuters are advised to leave earlier during rush hours. 5 News
- ➤ Fayetteville will host public meetings from April 28 to May 2 with a Technical Plat Review meeting scheduled on April 30 at 9 a.m. at City Hall and a Youth Advisory Council by-laws workshop set for April 30 at 6 p.m. at City Hall Annex — no meetings are listed for May 1 and May 2. - ➤ City planning officials will review a rezoning request on May 27 for nearly 3 acres south of Center Street that Core Spaces Chicago wants to convert into a seven-story student housing project called the Hub. If approved, the plan—featuring over 300 units with 10% market-rate housing—will require demolishing existing apartments and a historic building before it goes to the City Council for final approval.
