- ➤ Firefly Fling returns to the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks on Saturday, June 27, offering families a magical evening of live music, face painting, henna tattoos, and interactive activities (including fairy house building and educational booths). - ➤ BLS data released April 29 shows that most metro areas in Arkansas had higher jobless rates in February compared with last year — Northwest Arkansas stayed below 4% while Fort Smith lost 800 jobs, and both Central Arkansas and Jonesboro saw modest job gains amid rising unemployment.
