- ➤ The Walton Family Foundation's Home Region Program announced a new 5-year strategy to boost economic mobility and strengthen education and civic engagement in Northwest Arkansas and the Arkansas-Mississippi Delta. Foundation chair Tom Walton said the plan will support community infrastructure, workforce readiness and shared spaces. NWA Business Journal
- ➤ The city's Gulley Park interactive fountain and Walker Park splash pad will open on Saturday, May 9 (located at 1850 E. Township St and 10 W. 15th St). Both attractions will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Sept. 20 and are free. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ Toll Brothers Inc. will buy Fayetteville-based Buffington Homes in a deal worth over $111 million — following recent property sales of more than 235 acres and 240 residential lots across Benton and Washington counties, including a Toll Brothers affiliate's purchase at 4698 E. - ➤ The Center for Business and Economic Research at the Sam M. Walton College of Business will host its Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon on Thursday, June 4 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1325 N. - ➤ More than 6,500 UA students will don cap and gowns for spring commencement ceremonies on May 8-9 in Bud Walton Arena and Barnhill Arena, with Congressman Steve Womack speaking on Friday (free parking is available in unrestricted lots) and a clear bag policy in effect. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ At Demo Day last week, the largest-ever cohort from U of A's McMillon Innovation Studio showcased projects by design and product teams that solved real-world problems in multiple industries.
