- ➤ The Arkansas Justice Reform Coalition is hosting a monthly open mic series for community members to share stories about their experiences with the criminal legal system. The events will take place at 203 N. College Ave. at 6 p.m. starting this coming Monday and will continue on June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. - ➤ Residents provided input on plans for College Avenue improvements from Sycamore to Township at City Hall on May 7, and a session for Joyce Boulevard is scheduled at 4 p.m. May 14 as the city prepares for construction next year. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ On April 27, the College of Education and Health Professions honored 10 retiring faculty members during a reception where their collective contribution (217 years) and lasting impact on teaching were recognized. - ➤ Dan Tate, a UA alumnus, and his wife Terry gave $1.5 million on May 7 to establish a full tuition scholarship for architecture undergraduates at the Fay Jones School, aiming to support students with financial need and strengthen ties to St. Louis. NWA Business Journal
