- ➤ A Fayetteville man charged with killing and dismembering a woman rejected a plea deal on Friday morning that would have removed the death penalty from his case, and the prosecutor labeled his decision a 'spectacle'—leading the state to seek the death penalty. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ On May 16th, the city of Fayetteville launched an interactive food-foraging map that shows where to find edible fruits and nuts in public spaces, a project by the Urban Forestry and GIS departments. Residents can also add potential foraging spots and must harvest only one-third of any produce while avoiding official planting beds—ensuring enough is left for wildlife and regrowth.
