- ➤ Sensory Science Center is seeking participants for a one-day sensory test on Friday, May 29 at 2650 N. Young Ave. Selected individuals will complete a 20-30 minute session and receive a $20 Amazon gift card. University of Arkansas

- ➤ The jukebox musical &Juliet reimagines Shakespeare’s story with pop hits and will perform eight shows at Walton Arts Center from May 26 to May 31. Tickets cost $48.30 to $120.75 and can be purchased online or by calling during business hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ UA Fayetteville trustees approved establishing the Arkansas Research Institute for Electronics Systems, ARIES effective this fall to unify local research efforts in microelectronics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The unit will operate its Multi-User Silicon Carbide Facility, support grid modernization and energy projects, and aim to boost local innovation + sustainable energy. - ➤ Nine U of A students received prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowships totaling $1,431,000 in funding that brings the university’s count to 174 winners. Their achievement marks the largest group in a decade and boosts advanced research in science, technology, engineering and math. University of Arkansas
- ➤ Walton College will name its new academic building Mandy and Bill Dillard II Hall (100,000 sqft) to honor the Dillard family's contributions; the facility at North Harmon Ave and West Fairview St will add about 1,600 classroom seats and extra study spaces. - ➤ The Washington County Quorum Court voted 12-2 last night to stop Stewart Family Christmas Lights and Stewart Family Fireworks from operating because they lacked required permits (conditional use, large-scale development, floodplain).
