- ➤ Julie Sigears told the Fayetteville Crisis Task Force that her new home at Cobblestone Farms Community has eased her burden by lowering her rent from $800 to $681 and providing a safe space for her children. About 42 families have moved in—more than 50 are expected, and the task force will present its final recommendations at City Council on June 10. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Wilson Park Pool will open for the 2025 season on Saturday, May 24 and will offer open swim, lap swimming, swim lessons, dive-in movies, and pool party reservations — with daily admission at $4 for adults and $3 for ages 15 and under. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ Comedian Tig Notaro will headline the four-day Eureka Springs Pride festival in June in the Carroll County town—she is set to perform at 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at the Eureka Springs Auditorium. - ➤ The Theatre Collective of Northwest Arkansas will present the musical comedy 'Disenchanted!' today at The Medium in Springdale at 7 p.m., with additional shows on May 24 at 7 p.m. and May 25 at 2 p.m.—the production, led by Diana Weeks as a bold Snow White and directed by Rachel Mills, uses humor to challenge classic fairy tale roles in its first main stage performance. - ➤ Fayetteville Public Schools announced that school meal prices may rise 25 cents for full-price students next school year—officials said the increase will help cover rising food, supply and staff costs. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Beginning Tuesday, May 27, a section of the Razorback Regional Greenway between W. Center and W. Spring streets will be detoured for construction; trail users will follow a detour via N. West Avenue and Center. The trail will reopen Friday, May 30, with an overhead protection canopy and scaffold tunnel in place — caution is advised for changing surface conditions.
