- ➤ Judge Robert J Gladwin announced on May 27 that he will not seek re-election in 2026 on the Arkansas Court of Appeals. He is the longest-serving judge on the court having first been elected in 2002. Arkansas Times
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Planning Commission voted 5—2 to reject a proposal to rezone nearly 3 acres south of Center Street for a student housing complex that would demolish two apartment complexes and a historic home. The developer, Core Spaces—planning a 313-unit project called the Hub, may appeal the decision as public concerns over affordable housing and stormwater drainage were raised. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Traffic on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was detoured overnight starting May 27 as part of an interchange-improvement project for U.S. 62 and I-49, with westbound traffic directed along W. Wedington Drive via N. Futrall Drive on to N. Shiloh Drive and eastbound traffic detoured via S. Cato Springs Road. The detours will continue until June 1 (weather permitting). City of Fayetteville

- ➤ Planning commissioners approved a student housing project along Duncan Avenue near the Fayetteville High School football stadium; the design includes 294 units and 1,011 bedrooms with parking, retail space and public amenities – developer Endeavor Real Estate Group plans to move forward with the project after a 6–1 vote.
