- ➤ The City of Fayetteville is inviting proposals that use up to $1.599 million in HUD HOME Investment Partnership Program funds to support affordable housing activities, including rental housing, homebuyer assistance, rehabilitation, tenant rental help, and support for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). The request for proposals (RFP) opens tomorrow, June 1, and closes June 26, with a selection committee set to review and possibly interview applicants. City of Fayetteville

- ➤ Yesterday, the Arkansas Razorbacks began their College World Series run at Baum-Walker Stadium when coach Dave Van Horn—concerned by recent defensive struggles—started Aiden Jimenez against North Dakota State at 2 p.m. The team also announced its football schedule with an opener on Aug 30 at Razorback Stadium against Alabama A&M, a Sept 6 game at War Memorial Stadium versus Arkansas State, and a Sept 13 SEC opener in Oxford set for the early evening. - ➤ Kids will race in the Ozark Foundation's Oz Kids Crit Championship Series on June 21 in Fayetteville on a closed-loop course in the Upper Ramble. Children aged 2 to 10 will get race numbers plus prizes for the top three finishers on a curvy hard-surface course. Fayetteville Flyer
