- ➤ The Bike Route closed this month after four years under Specialized ownership and now displays a sign directing customers to an upcoming Erik’s Bike Shop at 1046 E. Stearns St. The new shop, Erik’s first in Arkansas, is expected to open in late June. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ GasBuddy reported average gasoline prices in Arkansas dropped to $3.89 per gallon on June 1, down more than 13 cents from the previous week. Falling oil prices likely drove the drop though prices remain higher than last month—adding some relief for local drivers. 5 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The School Board approved free breakfasts and lunches for students at Asbell Elementary and ALLPS School of Innovation starting this fall — the program will use the Community Eligibility Provision and be recertified every four years. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
