CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Prairie Grove man was arrested Sunday after police said he threatened to shoot and kill members of a Fayetteville church congregation. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The developer behind a student housing project on Dickson Street filed a lawsuit on May 30 saying the city broke its own rules by rejecting a plan that met city requirements. One council member may motion to reconsider at today's meeting—if that happens, a new vote may allow the project—while the city readies its response. Fayetteville Flyer
- ➤ Fayetteville is accepting proposals for its HOME Investment Partnership Program to fund affordable housing for low-income households. City staff will review ideas for rental housing, home buyer programs, home repairs and tenant help and will select an applicant after proposals are submitted by June 26. - ➤ The City of Fayetteville invites public input on its HUD 2025 Action Plan that explains how it will use Community Development Block and HOME funds to support low income and moderate income residents—request a draft by phone or email. Public hearings will be held on June 25 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Rock Street Public Meeting Room, and comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on July 1. City of Fayetteville

- ➤ Olivia Walton outlined how Arkansas' new Healthy Moms—Healthy Babies package improved Medicaid access and care for mothers, and announced plans to launch a maternal and child health center that will support future reforms. - ➤ Timberline Real Estate Ventures bought Hill Place Apartments, a 228-unit student complex near the University of Arkansas, for $75.31 million — equal to $330,333 per unit — from Denver-based Cardinal Group Management.
