- ➤ Fayetteville Public Schools is planning to build a new Ramay Junior High on a 20-acre wooded site east of College Avenue and Poplar Street—officials aim to use sustainable features like bioswales and permeable pavement and will decide next month on purchasing 7 additional acres before seeking rezoning from the Planning Commission and City Council. - ➤ On June 17, Fayetteville City Council met at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall room 219 to discuss projects such as clear rental fee rules, a five-year plan for city improvements, zoning changes to protect green spaces and add housing, a sanctioned camp for people without homes, and the addition of school and housing officers.
