- ➤ People in Arkansas are celebrating Juneteenth with marches, concerts, and talks that honor the emancipation of enslaved people. In Fayetteville, a local festival is held today at Spring Shop Studios from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.—featuring music, games, free food and community resources. 4029 News

- ➤ Economist Mervin Jebaraj said at UA's Quarterly Business Analysis Luncheon in Fayetteville on June 18 that U.S. and Arkansas growth slowed with fewer new jobs and rising costs on food and shelter. He warned that tariffs (15.6%) will hurt business investment and consumer spending later this summer. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ On Tuesday night, the Fayetteville City Council voted down the Safe Camping Initiative that would have spent $630,000 to set up safe camping sites for the unhoused.
