Fayetteville punk rock band The Chads will perform tomorrow at George’s Majestic Lounge to launch their new album Chad to the Bone with a 7 p.m. start and a $10 admission fee.

The album, recorded over four days at Holy Anvil Recording Co.—and ready on digital platforms Friday—marks a big return as local acts Chrono Wizard and Pyrocratic join the show.

Hudson Doctoral Award from the Graduate School and International Education for her research on modern Egyptian women's prison narratives (an award of $1,500 given to students nearing graduation). Fayetteville did not break state law against sanctuary cities, city attorney Kit Williams said Friday in a letter responding to a lawmaker’s complaint over police actions during a work zone traffic stop on I-49 Tuesday—when officers arrived after the fleeing suspect had already been recaptured. The letter noted the city never acted as an immigration enforcement agent and does not interfere with federal officials.
