- ➤ U of A Housing’s Leave Green program collected nearly 40 tons of usable items during May — 53 truckloads of donated furniture, clothing, and electronics were picked up by Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore and Potter’s House to benefit local families and campus programs. - ➤ Fayetteville-based Nicolas McLeod has led his wealth management firm from a local business to nearly $46.5 million in annual revenue, serving over 1,100 clients in 48 states (its revenue grew from $12 million in 2020 to $46.5 million in 2021). He will hire three new advisers for his Fayetteville office and expand the firm two- to three-fold in the next three years (the business now also has offices in Denver and San Antonio). - ➤ City leaders, artists and residents gathered on June 25 to see a new 100-foot mural on Nelson Hackett Boulevard that honors Nelson Hackett—a man who escaped enslavement. - ➤ NWA Pride weekend is set for June 27 to 29 with Friday events beginning with a Trans March at 7 p.m. — a rally at 7:30 p.m. and a festival with live music near Dickson and Church.
