- ➤ On August 25, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon and his wife Shelley announced a $10 million gift to create endowed funds at UA’s Sam M. Walton College of Business that will support a new home and ongoing operations for the McMillon Innovation Studio—helping students build essential business skills. The donation by the McMillon Family Foundation is set to provide lasting support for a hub where future leaders can develop innovative ideas. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ Zachary Campbell pleaded not guilty to a capital murder charge in Bentonville after his son Carter died in Springdale last year while in hospice care following injuries from being shaken as an infant—his next court date is set for 8 a.m. Sept. 29. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Farmington Public Schools sheltered in place on Aug. 25 after reports of an alleged shooter near Mullins Library on the U of A campus—officials said that all students and staff stayed safe with classes continuing as normal. 5 News
