- ➤ The U of A Honors College launched a new website today that offers clear menus & audience-specific filters to help prospective students, current students, faculty, and alums find the resources they need. - ➤ The U of A Humanities Center has announced fall funding competitions to support humanities work. All U of A faculty may apply for research, teaching, and publishing awards (including funds and teaching release) and must upload proposals to the UARK InfoReady portal (online) by end of day Nov. 1. - ➤ Fayetteville became the first city in the state to adopt a Firefighters Bill of Rights when the City Council approved an ordinance on Aug. 19 that sets clear steps for handling complaints and disciplinary actions to safeguard firefighter rights.
