- ➤ The Collective has opened on Dickson Street at 216 W. Dickson St in the building that once housed Cannibal & Craft—this upscale restaurant and bar offers a menu of seafood, steaks, pastas, and shareable dishes with dinner served Tuesday through Saturday from 5-10 p.m. and a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. plans for lunch and weekend brunch are expected soon. - ➤ SoNA will launch its 2025-26 main stage season on Sept. 20 at Baum Walker Hall with six guest conductors, four of whom will serve as live auditions to choose the next maestro. - ➤ Associate Professor Ngan Le received the NSF CAREER Award with a grant of $499,556 to fund research that will build trustworthy and energy-efficient AI systems for real-world use. Her project will design a multimodal video analytics framework that uses video, audio, text, and 3D point clouds—aiming to boost reliability—and will include STEM outreach for students. - ➤ One month into the school year, Fayetteville Public Schools have added new security measures, including metal detectors and a badge detection system—tested by a recent false alarm at the University of Arkansas.
