- ➤ Fayetteville-based land intelligence platform Acres.com released the Acres Home Builder Index to help homebuilders and developers predict new residential growth and avoid oversaturated areas. - ➤ Confident Coffee Roasters will open its new Fayetteville shop on Oct. 1 in the Stage Station neighborhood at Rolling Hills Drive and Old Missouri Road. The 1,600 square foot shop will serve coffee, tea, bakery items, smoothies, beer, wine, and grab-and-go snacks—its outdoor 1,300 square foot patio will host lawn games. Fayetteville Flyer

- ➤ ARise released its first report showing that its state program has helped startups grow by providing 715 consulting sessions and 584 referrals for expert support in its first year. - ➤ University of Arkansas students and faculty share their learning experiences at the Rome Center in the Short Takes episode 'When in Rome'—where they explore Italy's art, history, and culture. - ➤ University of Arkansas seniors Zella Heater and Annalise Robins revived the Lesbian Student Alliance at Kimpel Hall on Sept. 10 to create a safe space for lesbian and sapphic-aligned students— the club plans events such as a binder-fitting day with The Library Vintage on Sept. 26 to build community connection. - ➤ Four University of Arkansas faculty members were named fellows for the SEC Academic Leadership Development Program—Jacquelyn Mosley, Chase Rainwater, Christopher M. Schulte and Marc A. Scott. - ➤ Fayetteville renamed its Community Resources Department to the Department of Housing and Community Services—appointing its first chief housing officer, Marlee Stark, on Monday. - ➤ Northwest Arkansas' Beaver Water District will launch a $500M expansion to meet rising water demand after a 33.6% jump in sales from fiscal years ending Sept. 30, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2024—Bentonville saw a 65.2% increase in consumption. 5 News
- ➤ Washington County Circuit Judge John Threet denied a Sept. 12 motion by Slim Chickens to disqualify R Solution's legal counsel over a conflict of interest—letting Friday, Eldredge and Clark LLP remain on the case. - ➤ Fayetteville City Council approved a nearly $4.7 million contract on Tuesday with Arkansas-based Kinco Constructors to launch the first phase of improvements at Walker Park — including new sports fields, a playground and updated courts funded by a parks bond and matching grant.
