- ➤ Students at the University of Arkansas will attend the Second Annual Razorback Safety Festival on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Arkansas Union Mall—where they can learn CPR, first aid, and food safety—and try a tornado virtual reality experience led by meteorologist Dan Skoff. - ➤ The watchdog group ArkLeg Bill Tracker filed ethics complaints Friday with the Arkansas Ethics Commission, naming Attorney General Tim Griffin, Lt. Gov. Leslie Rutledge, Secretary of State Cole Jester and state Rep. David Ray for alleged campaign finance violations and misuse of taxpayer funds – Griffin called the allegations politically motivated and Rutledge said she is reviewing her complaint – the Commission has not yet acted. 4029 News
- ➤ Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin said Thursday that Fayetteville now meets state immigration law after Mayor Molly Rawn clarified the city’s policy on federal cooperation—reinstating eligibility for discretionary state funds. City officials confirmed that local law enforcement will continue to work with state agencies to keep services running. Arkansas Times
