- ➤ Finnegan 'Finn' McKinley, a supply chain management doctoral student at U of A, won the inaugural Building a Better Future Through Business and AI competition and will be honored at an event at Texas A&M with a $10,000 prize. He studies how managers use AI for demand planning through experiments and industry data—his work offers new insights into supply chain decision making. University of Arkansas
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Today the University of Arkansas is hosting free community tours of Old Main—celebrating 150 years—from 10 a.m. to noon. Student ambassadors will lead tours every 15 minutes and faculty representatives along with top officials will be present. 4029 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Law enforcement agencies from around the region, including the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the police departments in Rogers, Prairie Grove, and Decatur, will take part in the 'Put the Phone Away or Pay' campaign to reduce distracted driving. The campaign begins Sunday and runs through Oct. 25—federal funds under the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program support the increased patrols. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
