- ➤ Today, Fort Smith holds its 13th annual Veterans Day Parade with a Veterans Honor Ceremony at 10 a.m.—featuring live music, posting of colors and storytelling to mark 250 years of military service before a noon parade led by WWII veteran Charles Payne. In Fayetteville, a parade and trade show begin at 11 a.m. along North East Avenue as parts of Dickson Street and West Avenue close for staging. 4029 News
- ➤ The NWA Animal Alliance is partnering with the NWA Food Bank to distribute 21,000 pounds of pet food to help local families care for their pets. Fayetteville Animal Services—one of 13 shelters in the alliance—received 1,000 pounds of dog food and 230 pounds of cat food on Nov. 6 and will distribute food at 1640 S. - ➤ A small fire damaged the baseball team’s locker room at the Bulldog Athletic and Recreation Center at Fayetteville High School early Friday, and a restoration company began cleaning the area while the cause was under investigation — the rest of the building remained accessible for practice ahead of a football game.
