- ➤ On Oct. 9, the first Flavor of Giving fundraiser for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank raised over $241,000 at Osage House in Cave Springs—replacing its traditional Jewels of Giving event. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Last Monday, Sherwood residents Kyle Arkansas and Jenna fired up their Pit Boss pellet grill in their driveway to serve free hot dogs and snacks after learning about the government shutdown (they spent about $200 buying supplies from Walmart). They gave away roughly 120 hot dogs to a diverse crowd that included active duty military and veterans and will host another cookout Sunday. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
