- ➤ The federal government shutdown, now in its 40th day, is delaying flights, student loan hotline responses and military benefit payments for UA students. University officials say food pantries and financial aid offices are strained—raising concerns that upcoming Thanksgiving travel may face more challenges if the shutdown persists. - ➤ The U of A Research Camp will be held January 6-7 at the School of Law Building to help faculty boost their research skills and form new partnerships—early career faculty get first access on day one. - ➤ University faculty are invited to apply for the new Student Success Faculty Fellows program—designed for designing projects that improve student retention with guidance from senior academic leaders.
