  • Centerton Cares is helping 30 local families get Thanksgiving dinner baskets that include a turkey, eggs, sides, desserts, and cookware—items donated by neighbors and local fundraisers.   • John ‘JR’ Dockery, a WWII veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, celebrated his 100th birthday Saturday at Mt. Comfort Church of Christ with family and friends—he recalled harsh winter conditions and decades of service for the V.A. while also preaching for his church. He said he stays active by taking early morning walks and doing 50 push-ups daily—proving his enduring strength and gratitude for a long, hardworking life.  5 News

  • Today, TheatreSquared is showing 'It's a Wonderful Life' with Terry Bell debuting as George Bailey—bringing Broadway and regional stage experience to a production that highlights community, kindness and empathy.   • In December, world-renowned artist Sally Dolly will visit Mount Sequyoah campus in Fayetteville to showcase her newest work (Still Life with Water Pitcher) just before it is placed in the Louvre.   • Willy Johnston from Hamburg bagged a large buck on Nov. 15 in Madison County—he measured it at 125 inches after a hunt that began with mostly does earlier in the week.
