  • UA students are staying in Fayetteville during the holidays because busy work schedules and blackout days at local stores leave little time to visit family. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Fayetteville is asking residents for input on a new Animal Services facility; a survey online, open through January, seeks feedback on design, programs and capacity requirements plus in-person sessions will be scheduled later. Mayor Molly Rawn said the input will guide efforts to replace the outdated facility.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Bobby Petrino, the former Arkansas coach, is reportedly set to join North Carolina as offensive coordinator under Bill Belichick (with a contract estimated at $1.87 million through Feb. 2027), while UA defensive tackle Ian Geffrard entered the transfer portal as the Razorbacks adjust their football staff.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
