- ➤ Fayetteville Public Library restocked its seed library with 1,500 seed packets donated by the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank—offering seeds for beans, onions, okra, melon, peppers and flowers—and community engagement manager Carlye Dennis said locals grabbed the seeds quickly. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ After days of heavy rain, floodwaters have continued to rise and emergency crews in Northwest Arkansas have closed several rural roads while monitoring 950 miles in Washington County for hazardous conditions—officials advise drivers to avoid any road with barricades as even shallow water can hide dangerous depths. The Arkansas Department of Transportation has shut down over 50 highways and Benton County crews are also working overnight, with efforts expected to continue through the weekend. 4029 News
