  • King Burrito is returning to Fayetteville with a new King Burrito Grill & Cantina at 3931 N Shiloh Dr in the building that once housed Queens Mexican Cuisine—offering its well-known recipes with a wood rotisserie for meats and a full bar. CRIME NEWS

  • A Missouri man pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge accusing him of giving drugs that led to a man's overdose death in Bentonville.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Fayetteville Public Schools is planning to build a new Ramay Junior High on a 20-acre wooded site east of College Avenue and Poplar Street—officials aim to use sustainable features like bioswales and permeable pavement and will decide next month on purchasing 7 additional acres before seeking rezoning from the Planning Commission and City Council.  Fayetteville Flyer

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On June 17, Fayetteville City Council met at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall room 219 to discuss projects such as clear rental fee rules, a five-year plan for city improvements, zoning changes to protect green spaces and add housing, a sanctioned camp for people without homes, and the addition of school and housing officers. Some proposals were postponed for more talks—giving extra time for public input.  Fayetteville Flyer

SPORTS NEWS

  • Arkansas pitcher Gage Wood threw the first College World Series no-hitter in 65 years on Monday, June 16, during a 3-0 win over Murray State at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.
